This week’s contribution to Illustration Friday, this week’s word: grounded. At first I thought of an airplane but it somehow led to this. I also posted it to be printed as stickers!

I’m really obsessed with crazy bright lemon yellow and pink right now. I was very excited to use them together in this drawing. Thanks Illustration Friday.
I’m continuing my portrait theme for Illustration Friday, this week the word to illustrate is “contraption”.
I’m on a roll with Illustration Friday again. After last weeks drawing I decided that I would like to approach the next few Illustration Friday topics as portraits.

When my daughter saw this drawing she said she couldn’t look at it and my husband said she looked like the woman in the drawing ate babies. I suppose that means she looks quite ferocious.
A new drawing for my favorite weekly project: Illustration Friday

This is inspired by a recurring dream I had as a child. In the evening I would get an intense sense of deja vu and this would be the tip-off that I would have the dream again. The dream was visually like a Dali painting, no narrative. Just 4 surreal landscape in succession. The final landscape was filled with falling tumbling rock and petrified wood. Even though it has been at least 13 years since I last had this dream I had it so many times I can remember it in minute and terrifying detail.
