I have some ideas for drawings which could be printed on t-shirts and stickers. This is the first of the series and is available on red bubble as stickers, shirts, hoodies and children’s shirts.
What I’ve been up to
15 NovIts been busy busy around these parts. I thought I’d give you a run down of the projects I’m currently working on.
Health Counseling
Besides working with some amazing clients in my private practice I’ve just started a new group of students from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I love being a health coach for first year students at IIN. It is amazing to get to know such interesting and intelligent people. It also really deepens my counseling skills. I also like the chance to stay involved with a school that played such a transformational role in my own life.
A great thing that came out of the week of counseling was listening to what some of my soon to be colleagues with digestive disorders and autoimmune disorders are doing to manage their health. During the course of the week I was reminded of a diet that I had looked into ages before knowing I had celiac. Upon re-examining this diet it lead to others and I found some really interesting work and diets for digestive disorders. It has inspired me to refocus my diet. I’ll be writing more about this in the coming weeks I’m sure.
Marketing
My work helping small businesses get connected to their customers has been particularly busy the past few weeks as I get some new clients up and running. I’ve been working on lots of newsletters. Good practice for my own newsletter of which I’m planning on sending out this week! If you have not signed up for my newsletter yet be sure to do so soon, I’ll be sending out some great specials. Do so here if you have not yet.
Deserted Treasures
The new Etsy vintage shop Joel and I started, Deserted Treasures has been going great. We’ve been making lots of great finds and having steady sales considering how young the shop is. Here are some of our newest items:

Drawing
While I’ve bee a bit too busy to finish any new pieces the past few weeks I’ve been making sure that my other pieces are easily accessible. I added more prints to my other Etsy shop, Put Your Hands to Work.
I’ve also steadily been adding more work to Red Bubble including a new t-shirt which I am particularly fond of.

Odds & Ends
16 OctI’m amazed and grateful how busy I can stay in a small town like Patagonia. It seems that everyday that I am blessed with a new and exciting opportunity. Yesterday evening I went to an art opening and while there discussed two marketing facilitating opportunities and the possibility of an art show around Valentine’s Day. Today I was presented with another new and interesting sewing opportunity! All the while I’m moving along on my own projects as well.
So the odds and ends I have are as follows:
A children’s t-shirt design added to Red Bubble

A lovely assortment of recycled paper business cards from moo.

I’m so pleased with the way these came out. I’ve been eyeing the Moo Business cards for sometime now and am so happy I went ahead and gave them a try. The paper and the finish is beautiful. What I love is how many designs I can have for the front of my cards. It is such a great way to show people a little of my artwork along with my information. People have been SUPER excited to get these cards and to share them with friends. The art show interest came directly from me giving one of these business cards to someone.
Moo gave me a coupon with my cards for 15% off your first order of 50 business cards. I’m happy with mine so thought I’d pass the code along: G2MSCG
I also finished another romper yesterday. I think I finally have the pattern at a happy place. I hope to get the whole range of sizes done in the next week and soon to have an Etsy shop full of them and other new handmade clothing items.

One final note, I also finally got my new newsletter service up and running today. I will be sending out a newsletter ONCE a month. I’ll have sales, giveaways, special recipes and lots of super secret goodies only available there so sign-up!
Linen & Red Bubble
24 SepI’ve been doing some freelance sewing lately for a company which designs and makes linen clothing. Recently I got my hands on some of this beautiful fabric and have started playing around with it and designing new pieces with it.

In the coming weeks I will be finalizing designs, having a photo shoot and opening a new shop on-line where my clothing will be for sale! I’m playing around with the idea of using my original clothing lines name, Mellifluous Couture.
In the mean time I do have another way that you can buy my drawings. There is a great site called Red Bubble. I’ll be uploading lots of my work to this site. Some pieces will be available on t-shirts while others will be available as prints and notecards! I’m very excited about this being another way for people to get some of my drawings into their life! If there is any artwork of mine that you would like to see available in this way please let me know!
I started with this as a t-shirt:

and this for prints & notecards:
My goal is to add a few new pieces per week!
