Here is another of my Christmas commissions. This piece was unique because not only was I asked to draw this piece but then to have a reproduction made and mounted like the original. It is a drawing of two dear friends and they each have a version of this piece.

This drawing is somewhere between a commission and a drawing that I came up with. A client of mine came in and wanted to see my new work and work in progress. I showed her everything I had going at that moment. Now mind you, I don’t sketch or draw things out in pencil to start with. So my “sketches” are more like notes to myself so can remember my initial idea.

This drawing originally was pulled from a rather ominous dream. I wanted to remember it so on the 18″ x 24″ paper I drew the face of the figure and 2 birds. When my client saw this drawing that was all that was there. I told her my initial idea and then she threw out a few ideas. From this collaboration came this drawing. The title is pulled from a song by one of my favorite bands, Miniature Tigers.

This drawing was recently commissioned by a client. I went a lot further with the color in this piece than I typically do but am quite happy with the results.

Noodle Greeting Card

23 Sep

I’ve been working on this idea of making drawings for reproduction so that there is a more accessible way to get some of my art into your life. I’m starting out with cards.

This is the card I’m starting this project with and I’ve just added the first one to my Etsy shop. I’m hoping to add more styles soon!
