Prints are here!

10 Nov

I’ve been meaning to add prints of my drawings to my Etsy shop for ages. Tonight seemed like the right time to work on this. I’ve added 3 prints of black & white drawings. They are printed on a dark natural cardstock that is 30% recycled and archival quality.

If you buy 3 prints I’ll even send you a free Noodle Greeting Card as a thank you.

Click on any of the above pictures to go directly to Etsy. I’ll be adding more prints over the coming days.

Ink and gouache on Stonehenge 100% Cotton Paper

This is my first completed drawing in Patagonia, Arizona! I’m very pleased to be drawing again. It is crazy how out of practice I am after a few months of not drawing regularly. I secretly enjoy this figures strange mutant features.

I have to apologize for the quality of the reproduction. I will be without my scanner for sometime and need to hammer out a good way of getting the drawings online with minimal photographic resources. Hopefully I work something out. At some point I’ll rescan this and reload it.

Drawing in Patagonia, Arizona

I have arrived and begun to settle in to my new home, Patagonia, Arizona. I’ve even started drawing! It has been quite a chunk of time where I couldn’t manage any drawing. I have yet to get a large drawing book out here so am focusing on some smaller pieces for now. I’m hoping to do some more gouache pieces on the small Stonehenge notebook and some more standard black and whites on the bristol board.

The landscape here is amazing but so different than anywhere I’ve ever been before. I’m very curious to see how the settings for my drawings change as I continue to get to know the area.

I’ll be sure to post some pieces as soon as I’ve finished some!

Social Networking & Surprise…More Etsy

20 May

I’m kind of addicted to the computer right now. For a good cause though. I’d really like to move and to move I need to find some new income. Hence Etsy and my endless posting about it. I am working on some new pieces though. I’m also playing around with some new sites as well in an effort to drive traffic to Etsy.

I have to admit to having a bit of a closet social media site obsession. I still remember good ole clunky friendster, never loading properly but giving me my first taste of socializing without all the messy face-to-face. Hell, some of my best friends have been made on-line. It seemed time, with the encouragement of Etsy of course, to explore some new sites.

Krop Creative Database

Krop Creative Database

Krop is one of the ones I’ve been exploring tonight. It is a very simple design for creative professionals. I do not have a paid membership but the basic ten image portfolio is pretty. I’ll see if anything comes of it.

Virb

Virb

Virb is the other site I’m exploring. It’s a bit more complicated, a little clunky but it seems like it might have potential. I like it because I gave my profile a yellow background, yum.

And of course my daily shop update. I added a new drawing, painting, skirt and tea set. Yay!

I know, more Etsy. But really, I need to move out the old work, my walls are cluttered! I also would like to move and moving is moving. You know? So articulate. On Etsy though I’m giving away all my so un-mysterious inspirations so you can see how mundane life can breed lovely complexity.

Remember Me?

Oh, I know I’ve been missing and I am very sorry. Sometimes life is, compelling, yes that’s it. Anyway. I don’t have any new pieces to share right this minute but I have started an Etsy shop. Now you can buy my creations with ease. I’ll be adding a few new items each day so please check back often.

pen, gouache and self-leveling gel on strathmore dry media paper

I’ve been working on this drawing for quite a while and was very pleased to finish it today. Two details do not translate on-line though. The window has panes that are a very pale greenish color, apparently too sheer to scan. The bottles are all painted with a glossy gel so they are shiny.

After all my color experiments it is nice to have another minimal color piece. I have a nice little stack of these that I’m currently working on. I also just bought a huge new pad, 18″ x 24″. I’m hoping to start some large drawings this week. I’m hoping eventually to move to even larger sheets of paper. I think I’ve decided that I’d like to work on tiny paintings and huge drawings.
