New Painting: Arizona

This little painting was one of the last ideas I started while living in Patagonia, AZ. I was walking home after dropping my daughter off at school and I saw an eagle and a raven sitting quite close to one another on a branch of a tree. Somehow that experience became this piece.

I will be displaying this painting along with some drawings for the month of April at a group show at The Upstairs in Seattle.

New Drawing: Transcendence

This is a recent commissioned piece which I completed. I really enjoyed this project thoroughly. As usual the client gave me a list of words and I interpreted them in the drawing. Some of the words she gave me were phoenix, birds and butterflies.

I think these custom drawings are some of my favorite projects right now.

New Note Card: Baker’s Dozen

I just added a new note card design to my Etsy shop, Put Your Hands to Work. This card features a print of one of my drawing that has some hand-painted details in pink, green & gold gouache. I’ve been really focusing on finishing up a bunch of old drawings lately. I’m slowly getting through all these half finished pieces. I’m even starting to think about what new work I’ll start soon. I’ve been starting a few things here and there figuring when I finish these I’ll be ready to tackle some newer ideas.
